I’m looking for five women with a little adventurous spirit and a desire for quiet. A cabin of your own, a fire to gather around and the wild on our doorstep. Come discover what winter or late autumn feels like off-grid at Tinhela610—and what you might hear when you give yourself time to listen.
What happens when we live close to the elements and let the weather become part of our day? The mornings may be cold, the paths wet and the river bracing. There may be rain, sleet or snow. Then come those brilliant blue skies, with sunshine warm enough to practise yoga on our Bird’s Nest platform. Here in the mountains, each day asks us to pay attention and adapt.
I find this meeting of quiet and changing weather especially rich for reflection. We become modern-day pioneers, exploring the unfamiliar within ourselves. With fewer distractions, there is room to ask: What feels meaningful now? What am I ready to let go of? How do I want to spend my days?
Each morning, from waking until brunch, we practice silence together. We walk, move, meditate and notice. Without the need to fill every moment with words, we may hear the river more clearly, notice the warmth of a cup in our hands or recognise a thought that has been waiting for our attention.
Daily movement and meditation bring us together. Wood-fired saunas and optional cold river or natural source pool bathing invite us to explore the elements at our own pace. There is companionship when you want it, solitude when you need it, and time to write, read, rest or simply watch the weather move across the land.
Come with curiosity and a willingness to meet a little unfamiliarity. Each day offers the pleasure of venturing out—and coming back to warmth.
Your cabin is comfortably heated by our wood-pellet biomass system, with plenty of hot water available for bathing.
